Christopher Colvin founded Christopher Colvin LLC (now Chris Colvin, Inc.) in August 2003. Having been a casualty of the tech bust, he was offered COBRA by his former employer. Although COBRA was a wonderful health plan, it was far too costly for him and his family. Then, it was only $900 per month. Many families on COBRA today are paying upwards of $1,200 per month.

He went on to study about life, health and accident insurance, as well as passing his Series 7 and 63 general securities licenses. Then he developed the highly acclaimed "Don't Get Bitten By the COBRA," seminar that he has been presenting to individuals faced with the uncertainty of unemployment, showing them there is an economical alternative to the huge premiums they will have to pay by staying on COBRA. The seminar is presented at no charge to organizations throughout Colorado and puts focus on providing tangible solutions for individuals and families not on trying to make a sale.

In addition to individual plans, Christopher Colvin has expanded the practice to offer group health coverage to small businesses employing up to 50 individuals.

Christopher Colvin is dedicated to providing the best service possible to his clients. He is married with three children. His wife is employed in the orthodontic industry as a treatment coordinator.

Mrs. Colvin is a patient treatment co-ordinator at a local orthodontist's office. The orthbodontist is certified in the Damon Method of applying braces which can cut the time in half that someone needs to stay in braces. This can result in a huge savings for her patients.

His oldest son has a passion for helping others. During his tenure with Troop 66 in Colorado Springs, he collected thousands of pounds of food for Care & Share. He has also attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and earned his Black Belt in Shorin Kempo, studying under Kyoshi Bryan who was featured on "Ripley's Believe it or Not" catching arrows blindfolded. He is currently an honor student on the president's list at his university.

His middle son is in his high school's marching band and has played clarinet and base clarinet. For the 2008-2009 season he will be playing the contra. His school band placed 1st in the state in their division. He has earned his Brown Belt, and is self taught on guitar. He plays guitar during the worship portion of our services at Bridgeway Church in Colorado Springs. He has also volunteered at St. Julie's Church feeding the homeless in their soup kitchen. In addition, he plays guitar during the worship service at his church.

His daughter is an animal lover and could very well be a veterinarian one day. She has rescued homeless critters, has volunteered at the local humane society and runs her own successful baby sitting business. She is a member of her school's color guard.
